Friday, February 27th has been set aside for parent/teacher conferences. This is the third year that Dixon Schools has had Spring conferences. The goal of these conferences is for teachers to communicate interventions and strategies to help students to finish the year successfully. These conferences are being held in just one day and teachers will be focusing on students who may not be prepared to move on to the next grade level. Over the next 2 weeks teachers will be reaching out to specific parents and guardians to invite you and your child to a conference. As noted, these conferences have a specific purpose and are scheduled by an invite. However, if you have a specific academic or behavior concern that you would like to address, please contact your child’s teacher through email or Seesaw to request a conference.

Good afternoon. This is Dixon Public Schools calling to inform you that school will be canceled for tomorrow, Friday, January 23, 2026. This decision is based on the Cold Advisory provided to districts from the National Weather Service. Tomorrow will be an inclement weather/snow day that will be made up at the end of the year. Nurse April visited Mrs. Ferguson's classroom to take a look at how well students are washing their hands. She used a blue light to shine on their hands to look for germs. This is a very important lesson for this time of the year! Thanks Nurse April!

Our Spirit Stick Winner for last week was Miss Jane! Miss Jane is our attendance secretary. She is a wealth of knowledge and never hesitates to help problem solve in the office. She is the keeper of the snacks and checks in with students all day- to see how their day is going! We appreciate your help and because of you our school is a better place!
