It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share news of the death of an 8th grade student at Reagan Middle School and a freshman student at Dixon High School as a result of a car accident on Saturday. We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to their families. We know that a student’s passing is a difficult experience for family, friends, staff, and community. The District will have counselors on hand this week at all buildings to support DPS #170 students and staff. Please feel free to contact our school counselors if you need help.

Attached is the District's updated procedures. Please contact any building nurse or Mrs. Hafer (District Nurse) if you have any questions. This guidance is subject to change if numbers increase or decrease in Lee County.
