Please remember to wash your child’s mask! With colder weather upon us, runny noses and lots of sneezes end up inside those masks! Not only does that make them yucky looking and feeling but it also makes it super stinky for the kiddos wearing them! 😣🤢 🧼😷

“Our class celebrated a unit on plants by planting our own pumpkin seeds! To explore the life cycle of a plant more deeply, we carved fully grown pumpkins, each chose our own seeds to plant, and watched like magic as our pumpkin plants began to sprout! We had some happy, green-thumbed kindergarteners in my class! “ 😊 ~ Mrs. Miller

Washington School Parents: We were just notified by the City of Dixon that road work is being done today on Morgan Street. Dixon Police Department will reroute traffic beginning at Jefferson and Morgan Streets to ensure buses can follow their afternoon schedules. After school today, please avoid this area if at all possible. Please park off site and walk to Washington School to pick up your student.

Power has been restored to Washington School. The day continues on as normal, and I thank you for your patience and trust as we worked through the power outage. Please contact Washington School or the District Office if you have any further questions.

Currently, Washington School does not have any power. Students and staff are safe, and we are working closely with Com Ed for a return time for power. If power cannot be restored within a reasonable time, we will dismiss Washington School only. I will let you know once a decision has been made. If you decide to pick your student up before a decision is made, please have your identification with you. Students won't be released without identification.
