Dixon Public Schools is having their Regular Board Meeting on Wed., Oct. 18, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Office, 1335 Franklin Grove Road.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the District’s YouTube channel and website. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President, Linda Wegner and to the Superintendent, Margo Empen, by Noon on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023. Public Comment received after this time may not be guaranteed to be read aloud at this meeting.

Congratulations to Katie Drew for winning SBLive Athlete of the Week! Our community put their rally caps on and locked in 35,804 votes before the poll ended! She was competing against 30 of the best performing athletes of the previous week throughout the entire state of Illinois! She also took home 3rd place at the IHSA Girls' 1A State Finals this past weekend! What a great way to finish her golfing career here at DHS! #GoPurple #BePurple

This is a reminder that tomorrow night, October 3 at 7 pm in the Wiltz Auditorium at DHS, Jordan Toma, will be speaking to our parents, guardians, and community on perseverance and being the best person you can be. Jordan presented to RMS and DHS students today. His inspiring message has been heard around the country, and all are welcome to attend this free presentation. Students are also welcome to hear Jordan's inspiring message again.

Attention DPS families! Dixon High School's Homecoming Parade is this Friday, September 29th at 3PM. The parade will begin on Lincoln Statue Dr. Then it will cross the bridge onto Peoria. We will continue up to 2nd Street, over to Hennepin, and back down to 1st Street and back onto Peoria. We will cross back over the bridge on Peoria to Lincoln Statue Drive. Flyer is attached.
