As we wrap up Neurodiversity Month, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible learning and growth that took place at Washington school 💙
Throughout the month, students explored what neurodiversity means, deepened their understanding of autism, and stepped up as advocates for inclusion and acceptance. Most importantly, they embraced what makes each of us unique—our different ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world.
We are inspired by our students’ curiosity, empathy, and willingness to support one another. Together, we are building a community where every brain is valued and every student belongs.
Let’s continue to celebrate and uplift neurodiversity—not just this month, but all year long.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Today highlights our group at Dixon Public Schools who fervently keep our buildings functioning every single day. They answer questions, keep things organized, and help students and staff. They are a key point of contact for our parents too. Their hard work keeps everything running smoothly, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for being such an important part of DPS#170! #BePurple

Due to the power line remaining down, parents picking up students at Madison/RMS should use Chicago Ave. to Fargo Ave. when picking up at 11:15 am today. Walkers will be routed to Hemlock for both north and south access. South walkers will utilize the overpass heading toward WalMart. North walkers will be directed toward Hometown Pantry where crossing guards will assist them north on Galena or west toward 7th Street. Buses will be adjusting their routes accordingly. Expect bussing delays and allow for increased traffic today. Please be safe out there.
