Throughout the month of October, DPS Elementary Schools are hosting the United Way - Kids Helping Kids Coin Drive, and we need YOU to help make a difference! The class at each elementary school that collects the most money will win a sweet treat: delicious Culver's custard!

Every coin counts, and all funds raised will support organizations in our own community, including Dixon Public Schools. Let’s come together, spread the word, and get those containers filled!

Homecoming hype started early! 🎉The Varsity Dixon Dukes stopped by to high-five our elementary students and kick off the weekend. Our kids were SO proud to cheer them on and wish them luck in tonight’s game—and the team brought the energy right back!Go DUKES! 🏈

Please join us for our annual Dixon Dukes Wrestling Cookout this weekend on Saturday at Olivers from 11:00AM—2:00PM.We will be serving brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, & pork chops with chips and pop. Dixon USD 170 Seeks Stakeholder Participation in Superintendent Search
The Dixon Public Schools Board of Education is continuing its search for the district’s next permanent superintendent with the support of the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) Executive Search team.
As the Board narrows the field of candidates to semifinalists, community input will play an important role in the final selection process. On the evening of Wednesday, October 29th, a representative group of district staff, parents, and community members will have the opportunity to meet with the semifinalist candidates, hear them respond to questions, and provide feedback to the Board.

Those interested in volunteering must be available from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 29th and should email Erin Grubic at egrubic@dps170.org or call 815-373-4966 by Friday, October 17th. If the number of volunteers exceeds available spots, participants will be selected to ensure broad representation across the community. If selected, you will be sent additional information about the interview process.
